Meet Your Flow is an interdisciplinary workshop and a continuation to Meet Your Mobility.
In this workshop we will get into the flow of our bodies by using various techniques from the fields of Movement, Partner Work, Soft Acrobatics, Improvisation, Massage and Somatics.

• We will work on our mobility and fascia, body and mind

• Dive into a Moving Massage Technique that I am still researching

• Play in teams and improvise with our own movement vocabulary

How can we move in our flow and also move others? What is the meaning of flow? What does it mean to you to move others? Does movement only happen visible from the outside? How much strength do I need for my movements?

Mobility & Movement

For me, Mobility Training is fundamental training. Without a foundation, we can not build up, improve, heal, understand. In our general Movement practice we create fundamental patterns to work on our mobility, flexibility, balance, strength and coordination.

Soft Acrobatics

Let's flow, jump, roll, fly, balance, entangle... In this workshop we will go into different basic soft acrobatic patterns. From handstand basics, cartwheel variations, basic rolling and arching. My approach is to find ease in movements. We will use the ideas from our Mobility and Movement sessions to find that ease and flow in our soft acrobatic practice, as well as ideas from dance and improvisation.

Partner Work

Partner Work or Partnering will also play a role. How much weight can I put on another body? How can I make myself stable and nimble at the same time? How can I keep the control of my own movement, but at the same time be guided by another person? From Basic Partnering (Contact Improv) exercises to new ideas. Let's move each other.

Improvisation

We will use the patterns from our Mobility, Movement, Soft Acrobatic and Partner Work sessions to create different tasks for improvisation, and the other way around. It's about expanding your movement vocabulary, find new connections, releasing, dancing and having fun. We will playfully put together all the techniques we learn from the beginning and go into improvisations, alone and with tactile help from another person. You can get into your own rhythm, move and let yourself be moved.

Moving Massage

Have you ever had the feeling of moving yourself during a massage?

In this two days workshop, I will present you a few massage techniques that you can use when the other person is moving or being still. We will talk about fascia, joints and some trigger points. Dive into some Thai-Yoga Massage techniques and create a safe space to try, receive, give, feel and release.

Somatics

During the workshop we will get into a lot of movement and contact. We will dive into detailed techniques and explore the freedom of movement. In both ways we will train our mindfulness and body awareness. It is important to me that we create a safe space together where we can move freely and share. Emotions that have built up may come to the surface. This can take the form of laughter, crying or express itself in other feelings. However, this does not always have to be the case. Nevertheless, I would like to draw attention to this and highlight this important point for the workshop. My practice is very somatic and I would like to invite you to get to know more about yourself and your body. Please be aware of this and assess for yourself whether the workshop is something for you. You are also welcome to contact me.

The workshop is for anyone who wants to get more into their flow physically and mentally, expand their movement practice, body language and range of motion, and learn something new and share it with others.

All levels and movement backgrounds are welcome.
